**POSITION SUMMARY:**

As Data Warehouse Developer at Beatport, you will apply your knowledge and expertise in data management building solutions to address business and technology needs. Reporting to the Director of Data Services, you will be a member of the Data Services scrum team, which is responsible for operations of Beatport’s OLTP, OLAP, and Data Warehouse database environments. You will also work closely with Business Intelligence team to produce dashboards and reports.

**SOME OF THE THINGS YOU WILL BE DOING:**

Lead team efforts with development and maintenance of a self-hosted Looker BI environment
Provide hands-on implementation of new ETL and BI solutions across organization
Participate in data modeling and implementation of new data services and data stores
Support, troubleshoot and maintain existing ETL and BI automation solutions
Assist Data Services team with ad-hoc requests

**SOME OF THE SKILLS WE NEED YOU TO BRING:**

4+ years experience with data management
2+ years of data modeling experience
Proficiency with Structured Query Language
Solid knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concepts
Experience with large data sets and strategies to deal with them
Ability to solve complex data problems with minimal supervision
Understanding of performance tuning
Experience with BI (Looker/Microstrategy/Pentaho BI)
Experience with ETL software, preferably Pentaho Data Integration
Experience with a scripting language
Confidence with Linux
Ability to effectively document and present technical concepts
Strong communication skills
Extremely detail oriented

**SOME OF THE SKILLS WE WOULD LIKE TO YOU TO HAVE:**

Experience with Agile methodologies
Experience with configuration management (Puppet/Ansible)
Experience with source control tools (GitHub/Git)
Experience with Jenkins
Experience with AWS
Python development

**WE WOULD BE REALLY EXCITED IF YOU BRING:**

An understanding of database triggers
Music industry experience
We have offices in Denver and Berlin, so being able to work collaboratively over Flowdock, Zoom and Google Hangouts is a must. Applicants must be authorized to work in Germany.
