**Data Scientist / Machine Learner (f/m)**

**Your tasks:**
– work on a product, that is technically very challenging and will
change lives of millions of people
– be responsible for the machine learning architecture as the core of the company
– get your hands ‘dirty’ – implement and test your algorithms by coding
– build hypotheses and prove or falsify them in an accurate and reliable manner
– work closely with the founder

**Your personal skills:**
– you are a programmer by heart, it is your purpose and not a job
– multiple years of experience in the field of mathematics / informatics / statistics / physics
– willing to enter new territory and have a fast learning curve
– working with a ‚can do‘ attitude – you see solutions, not problems
– the enthusiasm and ability to mentor less experienced team colleagues
– have a very structured and efficient working style – you are on top of multiple projects at all times
– communicate fluently in English (German would be a ‚plus‘ but not necessary)

**Your tech/mathematics/statistics skills:**
– have directly implemented machine learning algorithms on real data, especially in classification, clustering and regression before (ideally in python)
– have some experience with crawling the web and mining data (including NLP, sentiment analysis)
– great programming skills (php, java, html or other languages)
– interested in (and well aware of) the latest big data web technologies such as noSQL databases (mongo or cassandra), hadoop, mapreduce
– should be able to articulate pros and cons over different classification, clustering or regression algorithms for a certain problem
– can translate your mathematic findings into business relevant interpretations
– have data engineering skills and thus are able to setup an efficient database systems
– can evaluate the time complexity of algorithms and improve it
